Wind coming over the dam so rigging in the wind shadow and difficult to judge sail size needed. 7.5 down to 5.4 in use. Went for 6.7 - turned out to be too much in the gusts which were quite long - some screaming runs, but too much power to gybe comfortably. Made a couple of fast planing gybes, but not consistent. 5.8 would have been better in the gusts and could have slogged back upwind in the lulls. Good to be out so early in the year though.
